Contemporary new HQ for Fidessa, London
KCCJ were asked to act as consultant, designer, supplier, project manager and installer for all the catering areas in the new contemporary London HQ for Fidessa, market leader in trading systems.
The project began with discussion with the client to understand their requirements and form a brief which worked with the overall design to match the client's image as laid out by the Architects.
The project included the following areas:
- Staff restaurant
- Reheat kitchen
- 2 Directors pantries
- 4 Coffee break out areas
Although the project was not a large scheme the complexities came as installation was spread over a long period due to the phasing of the building site. Exact surveys had to be carried out and all equipment had to be made in sizes to allow use of the lift to transport and avoid practicalities of carrying heavy equipment up to 8 flights of stairs.
Co-ordination was essential to ensure goods turned up at correct times and transportation of equipment was booked with the main contractor who allowed access to lifts.
The equipment installation on all floors went in ahead of schedule and ahead of the main contractor's programme, with only minor problems which were resolved immediately. These included the addition of extra items at the client's request, supplied and installed in time for handover.
The client confirmed that they were very pleased with KCCJ' performance and the end result, which led to KCCJ receiving additional orders for one of there other floors.
