ExCeL Docklands - Largest Banqueting Operation in the Capital
Now able to seat and serve 3500 covers in one area with the opening of their new extension, which includes a new Production Kitchen supplied and installed by KCCJ.
At just over £1million the catering equipment package included all the equipment, dry store areas, cold and freezer stores, a chilled production and plating room, general preparation and prime cooking area, roll in blast chiller, dedicated pan, dish and glass washing facilities, the latter had a reverse osmosis unti to save on glass polishing.
A large pass and regeneration area, beverage dispense, coffee brewing, and dirties return areas and all the extraction was via advanced U.V. extract canopies to ensure elimination of any smoke and smells.
On the third floor we also installed a smaller regeneration kitchen to service the 16 capital suite meeting and function rooms.
The project was executed with precision, the continual on site presence and daily communication with client and main contractor, working with industry leading manufacturers are vital elements on large scale projects to ensure a seamless delivery.
The drawing production, equipment procurement, delivery co-ordination, and Health & Safety was all handled in house by the KCCJ team and headed up on site by our Project Development Director Jeff Webb. The project was successfully completed on time and on budget.
