Northumberland Park Community School, situated behind Tottenham Hotspur Football Club teaches over 1000 pupils from all nationalities, the main ethnic groups being of Turkish / Kurdish, white British, African and Caribbean heritage.
KCCJ were one of six companies invited to tender for their new catering facility, which involved providing a detailed estimate and CAD drawings for the new kitchen and servery area.
Working closely with the Bursar and Catering Manager we were able to design a kitchen and servery area that was both functional and free flowing. The Bursar commented on our design and said that we seemed to be the only company that had taken the brief and understood the schools requirements.
Apollo Group, the main contractor stated that KCCJ, although not the cheapest were certainly the company that applied the most effort and presented themselves in a professional manner, it was for this reason gave them the confidence to award KCCJ the project.
The installation was not without its challenges, and although programme dates were agreed the site fell behind for unforeseen reasons, but the end date never changed. Having built up a close relationship with the site managers, KCCJ were able to work together and get over any issues that occurred.
The project was delivered sucessfully on time and within budget.
