KCCJ has recently completed a further two Little Chef refurbishments at York and Kettering West. These are a follow on from the successful project at Little Chef Popham which saw Heston Blumenthal design a new menu which is hoped to be rolled out across the whole estate.
York and Kettering West have been closed for a 2 week refurbishment programme, which has seen the front of house area totally transformed with new decor and furniture.
KCCJ have been involved with extending the existing cooks line back bar, canopy, speed rail and plating up shelf. Replacing the whole electrical system including new MCB board and sockets to allow for the new cooking equipment which include fryers, griddles, chargrill and water baths.
There was also a new front service counter complete with set down for microwaves, space for new freezer and heated lamps for hot food pick up.
Both projects were completed on time and to budget at a total cost of just over £41k.
