RBK Rosenborg

RBK Rosenborg Football Club Norway - 20th Mar 2008 Completion of Phase I

RBK is one of the leading football teams in Norway and have competed many times in Europe.

With RBK's growing support the current stadium 21,000 has reached capacity and the management team have been considering plans for the future. KCCJ were approached in late 2007 following on from our success with the Emirates Stadium. The brief was to look at options for the future development of the club featuring heavily on the hospitality experience. To support us in this potentially major development we introduced HOK sport to RBK and since then we have jointly along with other essential partners been putting options forward to support the clubs long term growth plans.

Along with the clubs long term plans which is ongoing we were also asked to look at opportunities for increasing current revenue streams. These opportunities had to be based on short term gains if they were to be viable given that the long term plans may take the club in a different direction.

It was quickly recognised that the stadiums food and beverage systems were operating inefficiently and that by introducing some new key equipment and reconfiguring the flows improvement could be made. Working alongside the new RBK catering team and introducing new ideas such as supporter self serve concessions it has resulted in increased average sales of 40%-60% and improved margins. Given the improved sales and increased margin it is predicted that the capital costs of the work carried out will be recovered within 6 months.

Further opportunities are being explored and this work will be ongoing.
