Handle with care
Specialist skills were required to lift large equipment into the basement kitchen of this nineteenth-century listed building without damaging listed marble floors.
During a 12-week installation, we supplied, delivered and installed
Equipment in several areas:
Basement kitchen (290 m²)
2 wall-sited cooking suites 6 metres & 7 metres in length.
Separate preparation areas for meat, fish, vegetables & patisseries, dishwash and potwash areas, coldrooms with external plant.
Ground floor coffee room and bar kitchen (40 m²)
Small cooking suite, preparation area & hot pass. Separate wine and dispense room.
All deliveries to this listed building were difficult. 20 grid combination ovens, lifted over railings by crane and lowered to basement level, were stored and protected on site whilst major construction went on around them, as after the refurbishment the doors would not be wide enough to fit them through.
Due to planning restraints the project ran slightly over schedule, but staff were more than happy with the results , awarding us additional projects:
